Mah Jong Solitaire Rules
MahJong Solitaire is a tile-matching game. In a standard MahJong Solitaire game there are 144 tiles arranged in special layouts with their faces upwards.
The object of the game is to clear the board by removing all the tiles in pairs from the layout, exposing the tiles under them for play. The tiles to remove must be identical and "free", or "exposed".
A tile is "free" when:
- It is not covered at all by any other tile;
- There is no tiles touching it in the right or left side. This does not apply to the top or bottom of the tile.
The tiles to remove must be identical, except for the Seasons and the Flowers family. Flower and Seasons tiles in the same group are considered identical: all the Seasons tiles match one another and all the Flowers tiles match one another.
Matching tile pairs can be removed by clicking on each tile in the pair. The game is finished when all pairs of tiles have been removed from the board or when there are no exposed pairs remaining.
